Beautiful and unusual art glass table lamp, handcrafted by the Portugese manufacturer JM Glass, founded by the Danish Jørgen Mortensen in 1993. The lamp has a remarkable and distinct design, with a big sphere made of ‘frosted’ art glass, which is open at the top. The base is made out of clear art glass. A timeless and elegant design, which is suitable for many interior styles. The light it gives is very soft and warm, due to the unclear frosted glass. Jørgen Mortensen bought the bankrupt ‘Fábrica Escola Irmãos Stephens’ and began his own art glass company. JM Glass existed from 1993 until 2005. A great and rare piece of glass art and a very elegant table lamp.
Great vintage condition with a few scratches at one side – as can be seen in the pictures.
