Martin Visser Set of 4 'SE06' Chairs in Patinated Black Leather. The Netherlands, 1970s.
Clean lines and a distinct use of leather and metal. The SE06, designed in 1960, is one of the best designs by Dutch designer Martin Visser. SE stands for 'Stoel Eetkamer', which means dining room chair. Minimalist and timeless, the SE06 is a keen work of design. This set of 4 SE06 chairs was made somewhere in the 1970s and shows a wonderful and desirable patination on the black leather parts. The leather is in good condition, with details like the buckle on the backside and a new lace underneath to tighten the leather which naturally loosens over time.
