Whimsical Waste Paper Basket in the Style of Piero Fornasetti, 1960s.

This is a wonderful and large waste paper basket or decorative basket in the style of the famous Italian designer and artist Piero Fornasetti. It resembles his works with hot air balloons - a common theme in his works. Also, the whimsical way of drawing and the colors used are really reminiscent of Fornasetti's work. Although pretty similar, this basket is not a real Fornasetti. Regardless of that fact it is a very attractive and fun piece to look at.

It comes in a very good condition with a vintage sticker mark on one side and a dent on the underside which is not visible when the basket is standing up.
